Design : Patterns for your Website
I have been looking all over the web for patterns, I was stunned by some websites, and very disappointed by others.
My idea was to make an top 10 but got stuck at 6, 2 of these share the first place because both have an large set of patterns and yet so different from each other!
SquidFingers

Squidfingers offers 158 retro styled patterns (and counting)
DinPattern

DinPattern is probably the best resource for “modern” patterns, they look nice and new patterns are added on daily base
Pattern4u

Pattern4u offers a nice set of patterns currently there are over 260 different ones , nicely categorized.
CitrusMoon

CitrusMoon also offers nice pattern’s but the website has not been updated since a couple of years.
TileMachine

TileMachine offers nice looking retro patterns.
DromoScopio

Dromoscopio offers 33 patterns, some are nice, some are not, but overall good enough to get listed in this top 6.
So as you can see these are the best resources to find your patterns, I’m sorry of I mist a good website, but I browsed the first 600 websites google returned to me. all the other tiles are only available at payment or are very very bad ones.
If you think this list was usefull leave a comment, and if you really loved this, then add it to your social bookmarks, with the buttons below!

just call them on a webpage’s background, like in this theme… if you look carefully you see there is a pattern
body { background: #333333 url('images/pattern.png'); }

I’m so happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that’s at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this greatest doc.

It’s some shame you don’t have a relatively contribute button! I’d undoubtedly contribute to that excellent weblog! I just suppose at the moment i’ll take bookmarking not to mention using a Rss towards your Search engine profile. I just take a look forward towards unique upgrades and often will share this unique weblog with the help of your Squidoo crew:
